12 volt battery generator - deep cycle gel battery

12 volt battery generator - deep cycle gel battery

Cheap 12-volt back
Battery generator not difficult to make.
If there is a power failure, it will be powered on.
Note: In order to complete this project, you must have working knowledge of power and circuits or you will really hurt yourself.
I power the space heater, fridge, TV, fan, washing machine, light.
You name it, which is likely to power it, including small AC devices.
The small mini fridge seen here has been running for 25 hours, and a lot of battery power left can run more.
You can take it to your remote cabin, completely out of the grid.
Seeing my other foldable light solar panels installed, this generator was well replenished! Supplies:1. 60 ft of 3-1/2 in by 1-3/4 in board. 2.
Wooden screw 1-box
Long 1/2.
1500-watt inverter (
Pure sine wave inverter recommended)4.
Solar Charging Controller. Battery meter (
I have two of them. 6. Toggle switch7.
DC power output 8. Two hinges9.
Two classps10 four battery cables 11.
Large enough wires and a crocodile clip to clip onto the battery.
There are other wire connectors and electrical tape.
The amount will vary depending on how you set it up. 12.
Four heavy duty casters.
Drill bit for up to half an inch bit.
You may want some small ones.
14 door handle drill kit (2 inch)
For round battery table.
Could you be in a different size? 1.
You need 60 feet cheap wood, this is 3-1/2 in by 1-3/4 in. 2.
Cut 9 pieces 26 inch long 3.
Cut 7 pieces 17-
Long 1/2.
Cut 22 pieces 12 inch long 5.
Cut 4 pieces 16 inch long 6.
Cut 2 pieces 15 inch long 7.
Additional parts of any kind of wood, such (2x4)
Load the battery in the box
I hope this photo explains how the boxes are combined (
At least the final result)1.
From the establishment of four sides. a.
Connect 7 12 inch boards (
No space in the middle)
The top and bottom are 26 inch.
Center 26 inch boards, which will leave about 3/4 inches at both ends.
Repeat this step again.
Use screws, but pre-
Drill all your holes first. b.
Connect 12 inch plates with the top and bottom of 16 inch.
Repeat it again.
Make sure again that the top and bottom parts are centered, which will give you about 3/4 on both ends.
Remember pre
Drill all your holes first. c.
Connect Four sides now. 2.
Use all 7 out of 17
1/2 pieces of board, screwed at the bottom of the box.
Give them space so they can go from start to finish without the remaining space. 3.
Use the remaining 26 inch pieces to build the top.
Put them flat, there is no space between the boards, and twist two 15 inch pieces in the opposite direction at the top of the board. 4.
Hinge the top to the box. 5.
Attach the buckle to the front to lock the lid. 6.
Flip the box and twist the casters to the bottom of the box. Box is done. (
Tires were added later). 1.
Select the exact location of the inverter and leave enough drilling space for the positive and negative cables behind the inverter. 2.
Use the 1/2 bit to drill two holes behind the inverter. 3.
Screw the inverter to the top, connect the cable to the inverter, and extend the cable down through two holes. 4.
Once the battery is in the box, you can connect the cable to the battery. 1.
Select the exact location of the charging controller, then tighten it again and drill holes behind it to get the wires down through the top.
When the battery is in the box, you can connect the battery wires in the charging controller to the battery. 1.
Once again, find a good and convenient place to connect the toggle switch, some close to the battery meter.
Drill a small hole next to where the toggle switch is going to go through. 2.
Connect your battery meter to the position you want and then connect it to the switch and battery.
To do this, you must have basic electrical knowledge.
My setup is for me to have to turn on the battery meter to see the battery power.
I can turn it off or leave it on. 3.
If you use the round battery meter like I do on my battery meter, you need to drill holes with 2 inch door knob drill bit like I do so that it can be fixed well on the wood.
It looks cool to do so.
It all depends on what you are using, but I have recycled some fish tank LED lights and an old ipod case to make this kind of lamp.
It is tied to an old GPS suction cup holder with directional capability.
It's really bright!
I used two MK 74 wheelchair batteries.
A deal was found on craig's List.
Make sure you use a 12 volt deep cycle battery.
I think there's still a space there, but it's OK now.
Connect them in parallel.
Connect all the gadgets to the battery via a crocodile clip, or how you do it.
Fix the batteries in place with extra wood so they don't slide around when you move the box.
I use the self made solar panels and extension lines you see to charge the generator when I can, but I also have a 12 volt battery charger and when the sun is not on I
My panel here is about 100 watts of charging power on sunny days. I get about 5-
Remove 6 amps from the panel.
I hope you enjoyed the instructions.
Tell me what you think.
