If gasoline and diesel are really to be abandoned, then the problem of the limited range of electric vehicles must be overcome, or, at present, the focus of the development of electric vehicles seems to be to create batteries, store more power for a larger vehicle operating range.
But since companies like Tesla are currently achieving more than 300 miles, the focus seems likely to shift to charging time.
That's why StoreDot came in because it's developing a way for electric cars to fully charge in five minutes.
So far, StoreDot has raised about $60 million in investment, including high
Celebrities such as Daimler, Samsung and Chelsea club owner Abramovich.
StoreDot will take advantage of this investment to develop what is known as "FlashBattery", a replacement for traditional lithium-ion battery technology that offers a range of at least 300 miles at a single charge.
The obvious goal is to get FlashBatteries into the production of electric vehicles as a replacement for the current form of power storage.
Daimler's involvement has made the possibility more realistic as it is already producing electric vehicles, so StoreDot and Daimler will be able to jointly develop the vehicle
Friendly solution.
