The Sony DSC TX20 is a stylish and durable camera.Waterproof (up to 5 m/16ft) and shockproof (up to 1.5m/5ft).It has a large touch screen (3 inch), 4x optical zoom and 16.2 megapixels.I bought this camera last week and so far it has impressed me a lot.I was so desperate about technology, but I found this camera to be very easy to navigate through all the different settings without even having to read the manual. The design is very intuitive and is easy to navigate through different menus due to the large touch screen.Mode allows you to select the categories to which the photos belong, such as scenery, night view, food, pets and underwater, then the camera will take your photos with the best settings of the category you choose.Picture Effect mode makes you have a little fun with your picture. It has several different effects for you to choose from, including micro, rich-Monochrome, popular, pastel high tonePart of my favorite color.I like this local color, which makes the picture black and white apart from one color. The features are somewhat limited as you can only choose four colors (green, blue, red and yellow), but it's still fun to play. After taking pictures, there are some options to do.You can protect it, modify it (red eye correction, resize, etc), or...paint it.Paint options are very similar to Microsoft paint. You choose an ink color and you can then doodle on the photo. You can also choose from a few small pictures of hearts, flowers, etc, and stamp it on your picture. The feature didn't surprise me because I thought it was very cheesy and I don't understand why people would do this to their photos. This reminds me of the internet pages of the 1990 s, or the artwork of children...They just want to cram as many colorful things as possible. The only legitimate reason I can think of is if you want to write someone's name on their photo so you don't forget.Or if you manage to take a photo with a celebrity and have them sign.Battery life seems a bit short for meBut that might just be because I ran around crazy and took all the pictures! The manual says that the battery should last about two hours when taking a picture, and they think it's about 250.The battery is expected to last about an hour while recording video. The manual also states that the charging time with an AC adapter is about 115 minutes (when charging a fully flat battery ).Although the battery has a good life, I recommend buying a spare battery.2 hours is not that long, it may be easy to forget to charge the camera...Then you need it, go open it and it flashes angrily to you before closing it again.Lithium-(NP-$49..However, it may be cheaper to buy batteries from sites like eBay and Amazon.Since some batteries may be fake, they can only be purchased from a seller you trust.I found this camera perfect for taking blurry photos.Even if I intentionally waved it while taking a picture, the picture was clearly visible. The reason I chose this camera is that it is waterproof. It's great if you want to take pictures underwater, but if you want a stronger camera, it's also great to survive the "Forget to screw the water cap" type of event. It is waterproof up to five metres and you don't need anything other than that.Let's face it, if you throw the camera in water more than five metres deep, you're unlikely to get it back anyway!Added the fact that this camera is shockproof (to 1.5 m) and your camera is strong. This is combined with all the positive reviews I 've read about this camera's predecessors, like TX10 and TX7, to allow me to hope that my tough camera will last for a while, in the long run, this will make it cheaper. The optical zoom of this camera is only 4 times, which is not very good. The salesperson told me that because it is waterproof, they can't make the lens shrink like other cameras. This may not be your camera if you mainly want to take landscape photos and long distance photos. However, 4x optical zoom is good for most photos-Holiday photos, people, etc.Any view taken with a digital camera may never be as good as the professional one on a postcard. For this, you need a serious camera. It may be cheaper to buy a digital camera and a postcard. All Sony DSC-TX20 specifications, click here to enter the official Sony page. This camera is easy to use, small and light, durable, and has some good functions.I was impressed with it and I think I made the right choice with this camera. The only downside I can see is that the optical zoom capability is a bit small and it's a touch screen, which can be difficult to adjust under water (manual says, before using under water, to adjust the settings according to what you want ).I would love to hear what you think if you bought this camera! Please leave a comment below. This review is my own opinion and I bought the camera for my own money.I have not received any money from Sony to write this review
