ensync\'s distributed energy management successfully powers off-grid agricultural project in hawaii - energy storage solutions

EnSync, Inc. (NYSE MKT: ESNC)
Dba EnSync Energy Systems is a leading developer of innovative Energy management Systems for business, industry and
Tenant construction market, announced that distributed energy projects using EnSync's energy management system integrated with solar photovoltaic and Aquion energy's water hybrid ions are being successfully operated (AHI™)
It provides a power battery for an agricultural facility in the Mililani Mali garden in Hawaii.
EnSync's technology has been running for more than four months to power water pumps, which is critical to supporting 24/7 hydroponics and aquaculture operations.
"EnSync offers an energy management system that is compatible with a range of battery technologies, as many applications are best served by hybrid storage configurations, the configuration provides enSync Energy Systems Executive Vice President Dan Nordloh for power and energy applications, said.
"For this particular application, it is critical to require highly reliable energy for up to 16 hours, so the solution includes EnSync integrated with Aquion energy saline cells
"EnSync, project developer NIDON, and Aquion are fast from design to work through testing at the EnSync facility, resulting in seamless Aquion battery and EnSync advanced power control
This quick track project is put into use within a week of installation.
"Aquion is constantly looking for innovative deployments in a growing market to prove the compatibility and integration of our products and provide real value to our customers," Matt Maroon said . ", Vice President, Product Management, aquion Energy.
"Working with EnSync's project brings a variety of opportunities to Aquion, and we are pleased that our customers have experienced the power performance we expect.
"The garden in Mali is an agriculture-
Higher energy consumption based on business management, as on-site aquaculture combines aquatic plants with fish grown through aquaculture.
Sustainability is important for both organic certification and agricultural methods for food safety certification.
Because Mali's gardens are located in Hawaii, they face the vulnerability of expensive power supplies and power outages.
Mali's gardens seek renewable energy generation that can be seamlessly connected to energy storage and support their goals
Provide sustainable and reliable electricity to their facilities.
The EnSync system currently integrates 25 KW solar PV and 40 Aquion battery packs, a total of 25 KW/92 KW-
Energy storage for hours.
With this setup, EnSync's power control allows Mari's garden to store the power generated by the photovoltaic system in the Aquion battery, and then, when it is of value to the business they operate completely out of the grid, drain them out of energy consumption.
Solar PV modules are expected to increase to 75 KW in early 2016.
Nick Disson of Hawaii said: "The agricultural environment such as Mali garden pays special attention to electricity charges and requires reliable and sustainable electricity to meet their needs . "
Project developer and owner of NIDON clean energy.
"We have evaluated various systems --
Integration to support off-
It turns out that grid concepts like Mari's garden, and the technical partnership of EnSync power control, in particular their inverter technology, are well suited to this need with Aquion's batteries.
