Have you ever had a laptop battery not charged for a long time, this usually happens after a few years of use.
There are a few good reasons why you don't throw the battery into the trash!
If you are ready to throw it away, be sure to handle it properly, as directed by the local waste management agency --
But before you do this, be aware that there may be some potential value to this package.
Laptop manufacturers design battery packs to make them look like a unit, but they are almost always made up of multiple internal batteries.
One of the most popular cell types is called the "18650" cell, which is a name from the cell to approximate the external size (
18mm in diameter, 65mm in length).
It is important to consider some security issues before we begin to destroy them.
Batteries are energy storage devices, so it is essential to respect them.
If you manage to contact the positive pole of the battery with a conductor to the negative pole of the same battery, you may see a spark or fire, and the conductor and battery may become hot enough to cause a fire.
The most important safety issue is to make sure that the battery is not shortened in this way.
The second most likely way for this project to hurt itself is to destroy the original plastic battery pack case.
Wait patiently and, if possible, look for screws or other fasteners instead of prying and bending with sharp tools.
It's a good idea to protect your eyes.
If you are sure that the battery of your laptop is a laptop battery with life, carefully disassemble the plastic shell, and the contents are like this: Credit: Jerry YatesThese unit 9 has 18650 cells.
They are connected to the charging circuit board that monitors the battery and are no longer needed.
Cells are usually spots.
Weld to a label that folds between batteries.
Use a small flat screwdriver similar to red and blue in the picture to work carefully on the spot-welded tabs.
Applying radial torsion motion (
Just like you use a screwdriver as a screw)
Rather than a spy action.
If you have to use a Snoop action, please be careful with the positive end of the battery, as it is possible to apply enough force to damage the plastic housing and short the positive lead to the housing of the battery, this is very common with the negative end in electrical.
With a little practice, you can turn a pack of cells above into a bunch of separate cells.
From there, it is likely to be found that some cells are bad and these bad cells are the reason for the unsatisfactory packaging performance.
Check the voltage of each battery with a multimeter and mark any one with a voltage less than 2. 5 V is "bad ".
"Charge the remaining battery in the bracket
18650 charger only-
There are hundreds of items like EBay, Amazon and DealExtreme, but my favorite is Liitokala, a Chinese seller on eBay.
This one has the ability to record how much energy the rechargeable battery consumes, and can also release the battery and record how much energy it returns.
Even with the cheapest charger, it is easy to tell which batteries do not meet the standard.
After the charging cycle is complete, remove the battery from the charger and check the voltage.
It should be 4-4. 2 volts.
If the battery is still within that voltage range after half an hour of placement, mark it with a unique name or number so you can differentiate it from the rest and put it in a box, you can tag it "my free rechargeable lithium battery.
"Once you put a few cells in that box, the possibility of putting them in is endless.
Lighting is a good use.
The same source above is a great place to look for 18650
Flashlight.
Since the internal resistance of lithium batteries is so low, their self-resistance is very lowdischarge rate.
This makes them a great choice for spare flashlights.
With a flashlight like the one in the Amazon link, you can fill the glove box with several cars with high matchingpower, well-
Make a flashlight at a very reasonable cost.
If you find that lighting is required when working with both hands, search for many headlight options for 18650 batteries.
I found that the headlights were great from roadside emergencies to camping.
Now that you know what to search for, you can find a variety of other 18650-Power equipment.
How about converting the output to a box of 5-
Volt USB port for charging all these USB-
How about power-powered mobile phones and devices, portable cooling fans, and other options are all available.
Perhaps the only real challenge for these cells to use is to stay straight, which ones are charged, and which ones are dead.
The best solution I came up with is to use a separate box, each side of the box is big enough to hold all the batteries.
Mark a "charge" and a "drain" or something like that and store the cells in the corresponding position.
