Up to 40,000 South Australian families will be eligible for a grant of up to $6000 to help install the home battery system, reducing the price of electricity.
The state government launched the $0. 2 billion plan on Monday, and Prime Minister Steven Marshall said households with batteries could save thousands of dollars in system life.
"We also create jobs and attract new businesses for our state by giving priority to qualified system providers who promise to install approved battery systems manufactured or assembled in South Australia, mr. Marshall said.
